Educational and Clinical Child Psychology (239)
The Educational-Clinical concentration at the Hebrew University is the only program in Israel that qualifies its graduates in a dual clinical and educational specialization. This unique combination reflects our conviction that optimal therapy requires a profound understanding of the individual’s mental workings and the way they relate to a person’s family and external circles. Accordingly, our training takes an integrative approach which incorporates working with child, parents, and family, and understanding the educational system and other settings which may support a planned intervention. We believe that broad-scope training in this integrative approach produces the personal and professional development required to give rise to first-class professionals.
Due to the dearth of child educational and clinical psychologists in the Arab and the Jewish ultraorthodox communities, this concentration reserves places for students of these communities. These students are offered academic and financial aid, as needed.
