Language processing lab: reading and production

This is Prof. Avital Deutsch‘s language lab of language which researches language in general and specializes in reading. The lab is equipped with eye motion trackers to facilitate research of reading. Recent areas of research in the lab have been:

  • morphological processing during reading among normally developed readers and in readers with dyslexia
  • processing syntactic rules of correspondence during reading and language production
  • the association between the phonological and morphological processes of identifying a written word

The cognitive neuro-developmental lab for researching learning disabilities

Dr. Sarit Ashkenazi is head of this lab of educational and neuro-cognitive research. The main goal of research in this lab to understand typical and atypical development. The multi-faceted research in this lab examimmes cognitive, developmental, and neurological perspectives of developemnt. The lab also studies patients with brain injuries as part of its research of cognitive processes. Read more

The attention deficit disorder and decision-making theory research lab

Dr. Yehuda Pollak is the head of this lab. People with attention deficit disorder tend to make poor decisions that are potentially harmful to themselves and to others. This lab studies decision-making patterns in people with ADD from a decision theory perspective. Research in this lab relies on interviews, self-reporting questionnaires, and digital tasks in which the participant is asked to make real-time decisions.
