Special status students

Special status students are students who were accepted to the University for a non-degree granting program. Special status students take the regular curriculum courses.

- To receive special status students must meet the criteria for this status set by the Faculty.
- Students will be accepted as special students for one year.
- Students may apply for approval of the School of Education’s Committee for Teaching Affairs to continue studying for longer than one year.
- Students may apply to the School of Education’s Committee for Teaching Affairs to transfer to a degree program.
- The Committee for Teaching Affairs will decide which courses (if any) studied as a special student will be recognized as part of their degree.

How to apply

Register for university: If you studied in Israel, register online at the Hebrew University Admissions Office via the Hebrew University website. Please include all the documents described on the website.

Also fill out the Special status application form.

We are unable to process applications from candidates who have not completed their registration on both platforms or are missing any of the required documents.
