Undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate Hebrew University students may take a semester or a year abroad at partner universities to study or research. Students in an exchange program will receive credit for courses studied abroad as part of their degree.

Why should I participate in a student exchange program?

  • be open to diversity and innovation in studying and in research
  • expand your horizons, academically and personally
  • get to know a different academic milieu
  • improve your English or other language skills
  • get to know people from other places and cultures
  • forge new academic and social connections
  • interest potential employers by discussing your international experience
  • develop skills that employers value like intercultural communication skills, languages, dealing with change, problem solving, and flexible thinking.
  • experience daily living and studying in another country
  • network with faculty and like-minded people outside Israel, challenge yourself to study from the best lecturers at overseas universities
  • have a once-in-a-lifetime experience
  • and upgrade your resume

School of Education students can choose one of two exchange programs

  1. University program (via the International Office)
The Hebrew University has student exchange agreements with a large number of leading universities in Europe, America, Australia, and east Asia. Most of these agreements apply to all disciplines.

The Hebrew University together with 30 other European institutions participates in the Erasmus Key Action 1: International Credit Mobility.
This means that students joining this exchange program receive partial or full funding from the EU.
