My research focuses on the relationship between Israeli mamlakhti (civil / republican) identity and the Jewish world, while analyzing the intersections between nationalism, religion and education. Among other things, I study Israel-Diaspora relations, the educational rhetoric of David Ben-Gurion, national ceremonies in Israel, the history of Jewish Renewal, and the IDF education system.
