My research interests are the role of argumentation in learning and development; the use of technologies to boost deliberative argumentation, productive discourse, collaborative learning, mathematical problem solving, and “Learning to Learn” skills. I am also involved in research on the moderation of collaborative learning.
My research group focuses on new practices in schools – discussions in small groups around texts, mediated or not by technologies. We investigate the conditions under which children and adolescents can learn to express and regulate emotions in such discussions.
