Our research group has set the goal of investigating the validity of psychological tests in both clinical and forensic settings. We ask: Is it possible to learn about a person's character from the way they copy forms? Is the Sentence Completion Test an evidence-based diagnostic measure? In addition, we are interested in the validity of specific tests currently used by forensic psychologists, such as lineups. Specifically, we are interested in whether or not the current lineup procedure leads to false convictions. The purpose of our research is to bring about evidence-based diagnoses that will yield more accurate assessments, both in the clinic and in legal proceedings.
