Sima Amram-Vaknin (Ph.D.), is a clinical psychologist, the head of the Educational Counseling Division at the Seymour Fox School of Education, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her major areas of teaching are: Therapeutic processes in individual intervention; intervention in crisis situations, and parenthood- development and change. Her major areas of research are: Coping with traumatic and non-traumatic stressful events; help seeking among adolescents and young adults from various cultures; adolescents' help-seeking and coping strategies in relation to terror attacks; formal and informal help seeking (e.g. turning to mystics, religious authorities and service providers within the community).

ד"ר סימה עמרם-וקנין היא פסיכולוגית קלינית מומחית, ראש המגמה של הייעוץ החינוכי בבית הספר לחינוך על שם סימור פוקס, באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. תחומי ההוראה העיקריים שלה הם: תהליכים טיפוליים בהתערבות אינדיווידואלית, התערבות במצבי משבר והורות- התפתחות ושינוי. תחומי המחקר העיקריים שלה הם: התמודדות עם מצבי לחץ טראומטיים ולא טראומטיים; חיפוש עזרה בקרב מתבגרים ומבוגרים צעירים מקבוצות תרבותיות שונות, פניה לעזרה ואסטרטגיות התמודדות של מתבגרים עם פיגועי טרור, פניה לעזרה לגורמים פורמאליים ובלתי פורמאליים (כגון, רבנים, מיסטיקנים ונותני שירות בתוך הקהילה.
