Dan Porat specializes in the history of education in Israel, Holocaust education and the teaching and learning of history. He heads the academic committee of Ruach Tzeira, a humanities program for outstanding high school students. His research has been funded by the ISF (Israel Science Foundation), Spencer Foundation, NEH (National Endowment for the Humanities), The Gerta Henkel Stiftung and more.
