Alik Palatnik is a lecturer in the Seymour Fox School of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His main areas of research and teaching include different aspects of mathematics education, including: (a) inquiry based instruction, project-based learning, problem solving and proving; (b) embodied learning; and (c) learning and teaching mathematics with technology. Dr. Alik Palatnik is currently conducting a study on implementation of project-based and problem-based learning by teachers in various educational settings and a research project on affordances of novel medium of 3D sketching for learning spatial geometry.

ד"ר אליק פלטניק הוא מרצה בבית הספר לחינוך ע"ש שלמה (סימור) פוקס באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. תחומי ההוראה והמחקר העיקריים שלו הנם היבטים שונים של חינוך מתמטי: א) הוראה מבוססת חקר, למידה מבוססת פרויקטים, פתרון בעיות והוכחות; (ב) למידה מעוגנת גוף; ו (ג) למידה והוראת מתמטיקה עם הטכנולוגיה. ד"ר אליק פלטניק עורך בימים אלה מחקר על יישום של למידה מבוססת פרויקטים ולמידה מבוססת על בעיות על ידי מורים במסגרות חינוכיות שונות ופרויקט מחקרי על האפשרויות הפוטנציאליות של המדיום החדש של ציור תלת ממדי בהוראת גיאומטריה מרחבית.
