Lauren Erdreich (Ph.D.) is a senior lecturer in the School of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her major areas of research and teaching are anthropology of education, parenting and education, mothering in cross-cultural perspective, the relationship of marginal groups with dominant educational institutions, nonformal education, and ethnography. In her research, she bring both educational and anthropological theories together into the analysis of the cultural experience of learning and being. She is co-author of Mothering, education and culture: Russian, Palestinian and Jewish middle-class mothers in Israeli Society, together with Deborah Golden and Sveta Roberman and co-editor of a special issue of British Journal of Sociology of Education, 'Education and parenting: Cross-cultural perspectives' with Deborah Golden, Kari Stefansen, and Ingrid Smette. Currently, she is conducting a class comparison research study of parental involvement in the age of digital learning. Dr. Erdreich completed postdoctoral studies at Princeton University, has functioned as a qualitative research faculty mentor through the MOFET Institute for Research, Curriculum and Program and Development for Teacher Educators, and served as the Head of the Nonformal Education Track at Beit Berl College.

ד"ר לורן ארדריך היא מרצה בכירה בבית הספר לחינוך באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. תחומי המחקר וההוראה העיקריים שלה הם: אנתרופולוגיה של החינוך, הורות וחינוך, אימהות ממבט השוואתי-תרבותי, קבוצות שוליות וחינוך, חינוך בלתי פורמלי ואתנוגרפיה. מחקריה שואבים מתיאוריות חינוכיות ואנתרופולוגיות בניסיון להבין חוויות תרבותיות של למידה וזהות. ספרה האחרון Mothering, education and culture: Russian, Palestinian and Jewish middle-class mothers in Israeli Society הוא שיתוף פעולה עם דבורה גולדן וסווטה רוברמן. הגיליון המיוחד של British Journal of Sociology of Education,'Education and parenting: Cross-cultural perspectives'  הוא פרויקט עריכה משותף עם דבורה גולדן, Kari Stefansen וIngrid Smette. מחקרה הנוכחי עוסק בהשוואה מעמדית של מעורבות הורים בעידן הלמידה מרחוק. ד"ר ארדריך השלימה לימודי בתר-דוקטורט באוניברסיטת פרינסטון. בעבר היא שימשה כמנחה למחקר איכותני עבור סגל מכללתי במכון מופ"ת וכהנה כראשת המסלול לחינוך בלתי פורמלי במכללת בית ברל.
