ד"ר מאיר ברנרון הוא חבר סגל ומרצה בבית הספר לחינוך על שם סימור פוקס, באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. מאיר השלים את לימודי הדוקטורט שלו במחלקה לפסיכולוגיה באוניברסיטה העברית, בתחום של שיפוט וקבלת החלטות. לאחר הדוקטורט מאיר התמחה במרכז הארצי לבחינות ולהערכה, שם חקר את התוקף וההוגנות של כלי מיון להשכלה גבוהה. תחומי המחקר של מאיר קשורים להיבטים פסיכולוגיים ופסיכומטריים של כלי מיון והערכה. בנוסף, מאיר עוסק בתהליכי שיפוט וקבלת החלטות, ובפרט בתופעה של חוכמת ההמונים. במסגרת זו, הוא חוקר את האופן שבו גיוון (diversity) מועיל להחלטות קבוצתיות. בנוסף, מאיר עוסק בהתנהגויות מוסריות. בפרט, הוא חוקר את הגורמים הפסיכולוגיים אשר מעודדים התנהגויות בשירות העצמי הפוגעות באנשים אחרים. תחומי ההוראה של מאיר הם: (1) תורת המבחנים, המדידה וההערכה (2)  קבלת החלטות קבוצתיות, חברתיות ומוסריות (3) עיבוד נתונים בעזרת R.

Dr. Meir Barneron is a faculty member and lecturer at the Seymour Fox School of Education, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Meir completed his Ph.D. at the Psychology Department of the Hebrew University, in the field of judgment and decision-making, After his doctorate, Meir specialized at the National Institute for Testing and Evaluation, where he investigated the validity and fairness of selection tools for higher education. Meir's areas of research are related to psychological and psychometric aspects of selection tools. In addition, Meir conducts research on judgment and decision-making processes where he explores the wisdom-of-crowds phenomenon. In particular, Meir investigates how diversity can boost the accuracy of group decisions. Meir also investigates pro-social and moral behavior, exploring psychological factors enhancing self-serving behaviors at the expense of other people. Meir's areas of teaching are: (1) Theory of testing, measurement and evaluation (2) Decision-making (3) Data science with R.
