Terms of admission
Standard track
Grades
Minimum grade of 80 in your bachelor’s degree.
Holders of a bachelor degree in education, social sciences, social work, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and candidates in education-related occupations will be given priority.
Conversion courses
If you did not take methodology courses in your bachelor’s degree, you will be required to take conversion courses during your graduate program in addition to the credit quota in the program.
Committing to a schedule
This track allows greater flexibility in choosing your study days. Information about the curriculum is available in the University course catalog (Select Faculty: Faculty of Humanities > Department: Education-Intergrated Program in Education Science > Tracks select: Thesis track or Non-thesis track > Degree: graduate degree).
Individualized honors track
- minimum grade of 88 in your bachelor’s degree
- statement of intent: reason for and level of interest in the honors track, brief description of areas of interest in research, and potential supervisor or supervisors (one page)
- personal interview to help you find a supervisor
- letter from the supervisor indicating general consent to supervise the thesis
Conversion courses
If you did not study education in your bachelor’s degree, you may be required to take conversion courses during your graduate program in addition to the credit quota in the program (in coordination with the head of the track and your supervisor).
Admission process
Stage 1
After your bachelor’s grades and statement of intent are received, we will call suitable candidates for an interview with the head of the program. This interview is designed to explore candidates’ general suitability, where their research interests lie and how they fit in with fields of research in the program.
Stage 2
Negotiating being mentored by potenial supervisor(s).
Once you have written confirmation by a supervisor to mentor you, you will be able to enroll in the program.

Admission to this track is final only after you have satisfied all the terms of admission described here (grades, interview, statement of intent, and finding a supervisor).
Committing to a schedule
Compulsory courses take place on Wednesdays. There may be additional days, depending on your individualized program. How to apply
Register for university
If you studied in Israel, register online at the Hebrew University Admissions Office via the Hebrew University website. Please include all the documents described on the website.
Register at the School of Education
Create an account in the registration system, fill in your information, and upload your official transcripts (signed by the institution) that include your undergraduate average grade and certificate of eligibility for an undergraduate degree.
Candidates with a degree from abroad
If you have a degree from abroad please register at the International Students Admissions Office.

Registration dates
Registration is open from 1.3.2022 through 1.10.2022. After this date, registration will only be possible based on availability.
