Terms of admission

Grades
Minimum average grade of 83 in your undergraduate or graduate degree. Students with the highest grades are given priority.

Discipline of your undergraduate degree

Priority granted to students with bachelor degrees in relevant disciplines e.g. education, behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, and health-associated professions.

Conversion courses

Students who are not graduates of the Department of Education are required to complete conversion courses in educational research. They may also be required to take conversion courses in statistics, cognitive science, and/or developmental psychology. Your required conversion courses will be decided based on your undergraduate transcript after admission to the concentration. Please note that also graduates of the Department of Education are required to complete a conversion course in developmental psychology if they did not take this course for their bachelor degree. Conversion courses are listed in the University course catalog in the curriculum of the Learning Disabilities concentration. You are required to complete these courses during your first year, in addition to your program in the concentration.

Committing to a schedule

You are required to commit to a full program, i.e. two full study days in your first year and three full days in your second year (excluding conversion courses). The information about study days is subject to change. Information about the curriculum is available in the University course catalog (Select Faculty: Faculty of Humanities>Department: Education-Learning disabilities > Tracks select: Thesis track or Non-thesis track > Degree: graduate degree).
