This two-year concentration is offered in two tracks:
Thesis track
This track is available to honors students who are interested in the theory and research of special education. As part of writing their thesis, students of the research track will be given personal instruction and mentoring throughout their course of studies. They may be offered teaching or research assistant positions or an opportunity to participate in ongoing research conducted by the faculty in the concentration.
Non-thesis track
This track is designed for students who work with exceptional children in the general educational system and in special education and wish to expand their knowledge and training.
