In my research, I employ qualitative methodologies, particularly ethnographic studies, to investigate the areas of democratic civic education, multicultural education, and teacher education.
At present, my research encompasses two primary studies:
1. Citizenship in the Margins (in collaboration with Aline Muff) - This four-year participatory study, funded by the Israeli Science Foundation (ISF), examines the conceptualizations and practices of citizenship among marginalized youth. The study specifically explores the influence of both formal and informal processes on their conceptions of citizenship.
2. GlobalSense (in collaboration with Julia Resnik and Yifat Ben-David Kolikant) - This cross-national study, funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program, focuses on the impact of online interactions between student-teachers from five different countries. The study investigates how these interactions shape their perceptions of global citizenship education and impact their pedagogical considerations when teaching global issues.
